Heavy Metal Entertainment Announces SDCC 2020 [At Home] After Hours Virtual Party with Nerdbot! Enjoy a truly unique party event following a day of panels from the comfort of your own home! Join legacy publishing house Heavy Metal and media outlet Nerdbot for a one of a kind Comic-Con experience.

In the wake of new title releases and announcements in 2020, Heavy Metal will be talking more about the future of the brand in a Comic Con At Home panel titled, “Heavy Metal Presents: Forging the Future of Genre,” happening on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00pm PT.

This includes contributions from a list of both industry veterans and exciting newcomers to the medium, including Heavy Metal CEO Matthew Medney, CCO and Publisher David Erwin, Dylan Sprouse (Suneater), George C. Romero (The Rise, Cold Dead War), Brendan Columbus (Savage Circus) and Dan Fogler (Brooklyn Gladiator, Moon Lake), all of whom will be appearing on the panel, which celebrates the magazine’s legacy while maintaining proper forward momentum. (You’ll be able to watch along at tinyurl.com/ccathome)

That celebration will continue on Saturday, July 25th as Heavy Metal kicks off a virtual after party event “Heavy MetalPresents: Comic Con After Hours” with media partner Nerdbot!

With more of a party vibe, this after hours live stream on Nerdbot’s Facebook page will feature some of Heavy Metal’s best and brightest taking part in loose, fun conversations about pop culture. You’ll be able to find out how David Arquette (actor, “Scream”) and Cliff Dorfman (writer, “Warrior”), the co-writers of Heavy Metal’s Highwayman, would “Survive A Horror Film!”

Lockheed Martin Space’s John Connelly will join Matthew Medey to tackle “Putting The Science in Sci-Fi,” riffs on which sci-fi in pop culture got the science right.

Needless to say, we cannot wait! You can party with us remotely, and we’ll see you all then!

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
