Siblings Robert Marriner-Dodds and Cassandra Dodds are now working on a new Studio Ghibli inspired role playing game. Robert runs Dragon Turtle Games who is the publisher behind Carbon 2185, a cyberpunk role playing game. And now with his sister Cassandra they are creating a new company called Studio Cerca.

Studio Cerca will be a kid friendly game company that will focus on bringing tabletop RPGs to life for children. Starting of course with this Studio Ghibli inspired Dungeons & Dragons type game.
…inspired directly by the work of Hayao Miyazaki. We used to watch his films together as teenagers and we’ve always incorporated their themes and settings into the D&D campaigns we played together. We are working on a D&D 5e campaign setting that has been in development for four years.

What’s more is that this will be the perfect opportunity to introduce kids to the world to RPGs. Especially those that have grown up watching Studio Ghibli movies with their parents. As of right now they are still in the pre-kickstarter phase but if you would like to join the mailing list for when it goes live you can do so by clicking the link here.
Studio Cerca will be basing the game off Hayao Miyazaki’s work like “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind,” “Spirited Away” and more.
We will be keeping an eye on this game so more updates will be coming as information is available!
