Fans of the most wholesome bear around can rejoice, as Paddington will be returning to the big screen in “Paddington in Peru.” Director Dougal Wilson will be stepping in to take over the franchise from Paul King. King was responsible for the first two films, but is currently working on “Wonka.” Personally, we’d pick Paddington over Timothee Chalamet any day. We ain’t afraid of no Ghost…busters… Ecto-Fest announcements! On June 8th aka “Ghostbusters” Day, we got a slew of updates on the Bustinverse. Sony Pictures hosted a fan event on the famed Hollywood lot filled with a bevy of delighted attendees. Ready to take home your own pint sized version of “Black Adam?” Funko has debuted their official line of Pop Vinyls for the upcoming DC Comics film starring the one and only Dwanye “The Rock” Johnson.  Johnson has been consistently posting teases from the set. “Fire Island” is not the first or the last Jane Austen adaptation we’ve seen. Classic modernizations include “Clueless” from “Emma” or a bevy of “Mansfield Park”s. Animation (and Guillermo del Toro) fans might want to get themselves to France if they want to see the first footage of the auteur’s long awaited stop-motion “Pinocchio” adaptation. If you’d told us that “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers” would be amongst our favorite films of the year so far, we’d call you nuts! (That’s a little rodent humor for you). The live-action / animation hybrid is a clever and boundary pushing romp. The film features the titular chipmunks as actors who happened to star in the hit series “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers”.
