It’s no secret that over here at Nerdbot we love our DC superheroes. While the fate of the current cinematic universe is yet to be determined, Geoff Johns and company have been a force in the comic book world with their widely popular “Rebirth” of the entire line of characters. Over the last couple months we have reported extensively on what I like to call “The Watchmen Integration”. Technically the incorporation of a Watchmen element began in DC Rebirth #1, but comic fans got the next piece of the puzzle when Johns announced a story arc between issues of Batman…

Self driving cars are becoming more and more in talks now, as technology continues to improves itself. So much now that the House of Bill has recently passed a new bill to speed production on them. For years people have wanted this and there have been a few. But at high end prices. Now hopefully with this bill passed they won’t cost as much, just like Tesla when they announced their newest model. The vote was passed by a voice vote. And most of the concerns from government officials were all the horrible possibilities that could come of this. But…
Source: 20th Century Fox. Whether you have been waiting years for the rumored multiple sequels to James Cameron’s 2009 cinematic experience Avatar, or you have been secretly praying the projects get lost in the jungle known as “development”, work on the projects is indefinitely underway. Deadline.com reported on September 25th that the first day of production has begun as well as the official announcement that we will get not one, but four more chapters in the Avatar saga with a budget of 1 BILLION dollars. That’s right, you’re reading that correctly… (hopefully in your Dr. Evil voice) one billion dollars. After months of pre-production…
Russia has been the poster boy lately in hacking. It seems like they’re always in the news for intervening with something related to the US. Well, now is no different… But this time they’ve found a major flaw in Google’s system. Whenever you use your smartphone to go on to Google you may see the little (AMP) Accelerated Mobile Pages right on the bottom of the first couple website names. Those first couple ones are paid to be on the top of the web browser in case you didn’t know. And it seems that Russia has been exploiting this using propaganda…
In the last few years, EA has had a consistently honest dialogue with fans which is a new direction for the company. In an image released today, EA showing, in numbers, the content between the first and the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront. 2015’s Battlefront was continually criticized for having very limited content multiplayer content and, almost, no single-player content. EA hopes to remedy that in this year’s game. You can check out the graphic comparison in the header image above. Star Wars Battlefront 2 releases November 17 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Are you willing to give Battlefront 2 a try,…
Kingsman: The Golden Circle was a sequel that remembers the original movie but loses the heart. Here’s the quick review: It was good. It was entertaining. It was NOT great and it was NOT quite the subversive, smart action film that original was or that this movie could’ve been. It danced around some smart ideas without dwelling in them. It also fell into classic sequel issues we see so often with Hollywood blockbusters, especially those that were surprise hits. THE GOOD When Kingsman 2 hits its stride, it does so excellently. The action is beautiful. The characters are larger than…

Great show hindered by premium access. Star Trek is one of the most beloved shows of both television and cinema since its debut in 1966, it has continued to reshape not only the Science Fiction industry, but itself as well. As such, it has continued to have an ever growing, and highly dedicated fan-base, called Trekkies. Star Trek has had a bit of a boost recently. With an emphasis more on action, and access to big budget special effects, Star Trek 2009 has attracted a fresh new audience, and continues to be successful with two blockbuster sequels of Star Trek:…
