Tim Lapetino might be the luckiest “Tron” fan in the world. He found an ultra rare “Discs of Tron” arcade cabinet on the Chicago suburbs streets. Lapetino is a huge fan of the franchise, and has been since he was a child. He had been searching for “Discs of Tron,” as it mostly vanished after it was released in 1983. Tournament of Champions” is officially delayed, as at least seven contestants have refused to cross WGA picket lines. 13-time show winner Ray Lalonde was the first to speak out against filming as a supporter of the ongoing strike. Rumors of producers recycling old material to film the season becoming credible helped strengthen Lalonde’s choice. “Jeopardy!” has already been viewed in a negative light for undermining the WGA. CosMc, alien from the late 1980s McDonald’s commercials, is getting its own spinoff restaurant. McDonald’s executives announced the spinoff restaurant will happen in select locations in early 2024. This took place during their second-quarter earnings call, Thursday July 27th. More information will be released during the company’s Investor Day in December this year. “CosMc’s is a small format concept with all the DNA of McDonald’s, but with its own unique personality,” McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said. “The Shark Is Broken” is a Broadway play documenting the technical issues that came with making “Jaws.” Many fans of the 1975 hit movie know about production issues and the animatronic shark, Bruce, malfunctioning. The play was co-written by Joseph Nixon and Ian Shaw, son of “Jaws” star Robert Shaw. Wildlife workers are putting out traps in hopes of capturing a grizzly bear that fatally mauled a woman near Yellowstone National Park. The grizzly bear in question is speculated to be traveling with at least one cub. The woman, Amie Adamson, was mauled on Saturday, July 22nd. Officials have declared the mauling was not a predatory attack, just the unfortunate circumstance of a chance meeting. Adamson was a marathon runner, likely running or walking the trail near Yellowstone National Park at the time of attack. Disney has agreed to settle in a Class Action lawsuit regarding passholders. Plaintiff Jenale Nielson alleges the Anaheim theme park mislead fans by limiting capacity and restricting reservations for Magic Key pass holders. While Disneyland officials are satisfied the issue is resolved, Nielson has until August 31st to motion for the court’s approval. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts introduced the Magic Key program in August 2021. Disneyland got rid of their previous annual passholder program due to COVID-19 shutting down the parks.
