WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon has been placed on medical leave “until further notice.” This announcement came as WWE filed their Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) report on August 2nd. Though McMahon is going on leave with no end date specified, he will still maintain his position. The SEC report includes a footnote pertaining to a federal grand jury subpoenaing McMahon on July 17th. A search warrant was also executed by federal agents on the same day. Twitter’s newly-rebranded X headquarters new, bright sign has been removed. The sign was installed July 29th, reportedly without proper permits. The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection said they received 24 complaints over the weekend regarding the sign. The complaints all share the same concerns over structural safety, and strobing illumination. Elon Musk’s rebranding plan included changing signage on the building. He also failed to get the proper permits needed to make changes to the headquarters building. Tim Lapetino might be the luckiest “Tron” fan in the world. He found an ultra rare “Discs of Tron” arcade cabinet on the Chicago suburbs streets. Lapetino is a huge fan of the franchise, and has been since he was a child. He had been searching for “Discs of Tron,” as it mostly vanished after it was released in 1983. CosMc, alien from the late 1980s McDonald’s commercials, is getting its own spinoff restaurant. McDonald’s executives announced the spinoff restaurant will happen in select locations in early 2024. This took place during their second-quarter earnings call, Thursday July 27th.
