Rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet in 2020. Judge David Herriford, of the Los Angeles Superior Court, handed down the sentence on August 8th, 2023. Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was convinced on December 23rd, 2022 on three felony counts. The charges were assault with a semiautomatic weapon, having a loaded unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. The sentencing hearing lasted two days. This year’s themed houses include “Evil Dead Rise,” “The Last of Us,” “Stranger Things”, and more. Several original concepts are also part of the Halloween event. A British tourist was left frustrated after a restaurant in Italy added a charge for cutting their sandwich in half. The tourist has ordered a vegetarian sandwich and fries at Bar Pace in Gera Lario, near the Lake Como region’s north end. Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC) is suing Donaldson and his company, Beast Investments, for “failing to honor contractual obligations.” The damages are allegedly exceeding $100 million. A 500 million-year-old fossilized sea worm was recently discovered in Utah. The ancient worm more than likely glided through the oceans in the Cambrian period, which is estimated to have been from 541 million to 485.4 million years ago. The age is marked by the surge of new life on Earth. The discoverer, Rhiannon LaVine, credited her love for the sci-fi novels as her inspiration for the genus name- the Shaihuludia Shurikeni.
