Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Parler, the conservative social media alternative being held partially responsible for the insurrection in Washington, DC on January 6th which was systematically shut down by various app stores and even their hosting parent Amazon- is back. Kinda. If you try to access the Parler website, you’ll see this screen. It also includes this frankly delusional message from Parler CEO John Matz: “Hello world, is this thing on? We believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media. Our aim has always been to provide a nonpartisan public square where individuals can enjoy and exercise their rights to…

There are a few films we’re still really hoping get some kind of at-home release during the ongoing pandemic, considering it doesn’t look like returning to movie theaters anytime soon. Things like “Dune,” “No Time To Die,” and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” Directed by Jason Reitman, son of original “Ghostbusters” (and its sequel) director Ivan Reitman, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” was supposed to be a tentpole summer blockbuster for Sony Pictures. It began production in 2019 (shortly after the full cast was confirmed), and completed filming before the end of that year. Since then? It’s been shuttled around a bit. Originally set to release…

We want to start by saying this is a wonderful idea for the traffic-laden area of Paris around the Champs-Elysees and the iconic Arc du Triomphe. Imagine being able to experience such a beautiful location without the noise, delays and danger of cars! This is a rumor we’ve heard not infrequently since Netflix’s ownership rights of “Marvel’s Daredevil” starring Charlie Cox reverted to Disney. Is Charlie, the most recent person to portray the Man Without Fear, gonna show up in an upcoming Marvel Studios MCU title? This seems like a no-brainer, considering how popular the Netflix series (and subsequent “Marvel’s The Defenders”) was, and just how eager Cox is to pick up the batons again. The rumor has popped up again in conjunction with “Spider-Man 3,” which is currently filming. Mostly because ComicBook claims Cox was spotted on set, and therefor MUST be…

We knew it was highly likely for even more of Warner Bros. Pictures proposed release schedule to change as the pandemic rages ever onward. It would appear the next title to make a big leap on the schedule is moving forward rather than back, though. And this means the much-anticipated “Godzilla vs. Kong” will be bowing a full two months early.According to the usual sources, the clash of titans will be releasing theatrically (we’re not sure WHERE exactly) and on HBO Max on March 26th 2021, rather than May 21st 2021. And no, there still hasn’t been a trailer for…

Much as we would still really love to see another “Galaxy Quest” film, it just won’t be the same. 22 years following the release of the much beloved science fiction comedy romp, there’s still talk of possible sequel from one of the stars. Tim Allen still seems fairly optimistic that we could see Commander Taggert and the crew of the NSEA Protector at some point. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Allen spoke a bit about what the planned second film was going to be like, and why it could still happen, even after the passing of co-star Alan Rickman. “[The…

Just to clarify at the start- this new Dungeons & Dragons tv series is not the same project as the upcoming live-action feature film starring Chris Pine. Two different things, but the same dice-rolling RPG source material and moniker. This new series (again, not the already-announced film) was just announced this afternoon in The Hollywood Reporter’s weekly Heat Blog. The big news, aside from the series itself, is the news that “John Wick” creator / writer Derek Kolstad will be developing and writing the script for this Dungeons & Dragons show for Habsro and eOne.At present, we don’t know what…
