ETH Price Drops Over 50% Since September As Experts Suggest A Rebound Is Incoming

The crypto market’s been rough over the past six months, and Ethereum has felt the pain big time. It hit a high of $4,952 way back in August 2025, but today in mid-March 2026, ETH price is down more than 58% to approximately $2,070-$2,130 shaking up the entire altcoin landscape. Retail traders and large institutions are doubting their bets at the moment.

Experienced analysts are not panicking. On-chain metrics indicate over 220,000 ETH were taken out of exchanges in one week of February, the largest outflow since October 2025. Whales with more than 1,000 ETH snatched up about $2.5 billion worth of ETH in a single day, the fastest accumulation since 2018.

Meanwhile, the Ethereum Foundation’s 2026 roadmap looks ambitious. And projects like Remittix are drawing ICO crowds with real utility. We’ll break down ETH’s current spot, what indicators say, and why Remittix is turning heads.

Ethereum’s Price Performance: From Record Highs to a Brutal Correction

Ethereum’s year has been a wild ride, a classic crypto cycle. Last summer, it topped $4,500 on institutional buys, ETF inflows, and post-Pectra hype. Spot ETH ETFs hit $2.12 billion weekly inflows: a record. Companies like Sharplink and BitMine were stocking up, with BitMine aiming for 5% of supply.

Then the slide hit. By December 2025, ETH price was down to $2,982. January and February 2026 worsened with Fed hawkishness and a strong dollar sapping risk appetite. Ethereum’s RSI dipped below 30; oversold for the first time since 2022. Volumes also fell 11% in rough patches.

Now, ETH price is consolidating between $1,900 and $2,100, a key zone. While $1,850 has held firm before, breaking it could see Ethereum hit $1,690–$1,750. Above $2,050–$2,100? It might test $2,490 resistance.

What Analysts Are Saying: ETH Price Predictions for 2026 and Beyond

Predicting ETH isn’t easy, but pros have chimed in. Investing Haven sees a $2,500 floor, up to $5,150 if adoption ramps and Glamsterdam succeeds. LiteFinance eyes $4,572–$4,956 by year-end base case, conservative at $3,500.CoinCodex model: 14% up next month, 27% in six—$2,685 by September. Benzinga consensus: $2,061–$6,000 range, average $4,054.

Bullish takes hit $5,500–$6,800 with ETF inflows and L2 growth. On-chain data backs optimism with $157 million spot inflows late February. With exchange outflows and whale buys, supply-demand hints at a base for upside.

Remittix (RTX): The PayFi Protocol Drawing ICO Investors Away from Meme Coins

As Ethereum contracts in the face of market uncertainty, projects that build on ETH for real-world use are gaining more and more investor interest. The Ethereum-based payments protocol, Remittix, has attracted a lot of interest for being focused on cross-border payments.

The project has already raised approximately $29.7 million during its initial funding rounds and  in a build up to the launch of its heavily anticipated Payfi platform, Remittix has already launched a live iOS wallet with an Android wallet coming soon.

At its core, the Remittix protocol aims to cut the $50 billion in annual global remittance fees through quick crypto-to-fiat conversions. Users can send funds via over 100 cryptocurrencies, which convert automatically to local fiat and deposit directly into bank accounts; often within minutes, far faster than traditional methods. This positions Remittix as a key player in blockchain-driven financial efficiency.

    Five key features:

    • Crypto-to-fiat in 30+ currencies—live via PayFi, wallet-enabled.
    • CertiK verified, #1 Skynet rank (80.09 score), team doxxed.
    • Flat fees, no FX markups—for freelancers, SMEs.
    • Staking: 4–8% APY standard, up to 18% VIP; no taxes, no vesting.
    • Listings: BitMart, LBank confirmed; third CEX soon at $30M.

Looking Ahead: The ETH Price Recovery and Remittix’s Imminent Full Launch

Crypto’s at a crossroads. ETH’s price drop is testing resolve, but upgrades and accumulation signal rebound. Analysts debate $4,000 return this year for ETH prices, but value at current levels looks solid.

Beyond Ethereum price predictions, Remittix offers utility with a fully audited smart contract that is certified safe. The token’s ICO is currently well underway with over 63% of the total allocation already snatched up. In crypto, problem-solvers win. Remittix fits that bill and the entry window is shrinking.
