Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

You’d think this is the type of thing that would’ve been confirmed during yesterday’s Disney Investor Day Marvel Studios’ portion, but there is a story circulating right now that Jaimie Alexander may be returning to the MCU as Sif.This story comes from Deadline, who claims exclusive knowledge. Alexander played Lady Sif, Asgardian warrior, friend of Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and one of the Brave Companions/Warriors Three in the first “Thor” film directed by Kenneth Branagh. It’s been a little bit since we heard anything from HBO about the state of their “Game of Thrones” prequel series, “House of the Dragon” all about the Targaryen family. We’ve been anxiously awaiting footage from and news about Disney+’s upcoming “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” spinoff series all about Cassian Andor. Yesterday was a marathon of a news day, with the Disney Investor Day presentation dropping a ton of info on the upcoming releases under the House of Mouse roof. Things like multiple “Star Wars” projects, both for theatrical distribution and streaming on Disney+ (10 in total), Marvel Studios projects, Pixar, National Geographic, Disney Animation, and more. One of our wishlist items for this round of Marvel Studios announcements totally happened, because we’re getting more Ben Mendelsohn as the Skull leader Talos, teaming up with Samuel L. Jackson in “Secret Invasion.” This’ll be one of Marvel Studios’ original series coming to Disney+, and we’re kind of hoping this means Secret Wars is still happening eventually. We were delighted to finally get some footage of the upcoming “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” Marvel Studios series for Disney+ today during the Disney Investor Day extravaganza.
