Rabbit Air’s MinusA2 Ultra Quiet Air Purifier Lives up to The Hype

As someone who works from home due to a disability, my house’s air quality is always a big concern. And adding a cat and cannabis smoke into the mix doesn’t make things any easier. So I’m always on the hunt for a good air purifier. A little over a month ago, I was given a MinusA2 Ultra Quiet Air Purifier from Rabbit Air for my home.

When the MinusA2 was first delivered, I noticed how minimal the packaging was. It came in just a box and some heavy-duty cardboard inserts to hold everything in place during transport. There was some single-use plastic around the machine, but not much, relatively speaking. The website boasts a “plug and play” design and says the device is low maintenance, and that’s pretty accurate.

I did look over the manuals and watched videos on Rabbit Air’s website about how to clean the unit. But outside of a pre-filter that need washed every month, the other 4 filters are fully replaced once a year. These replacement kits run about $95. A huge issue I’ve had with air purifiers is having to constantly replace expensive filters. Not only does it add to the overall cost of the unit, but it also produces a lot more waste. So, only having to swap everything out once a year is much better than previous units I’ve had.

    Is It Ultra Quiet?

As promised, it is quiet. This unit has been running 24/7 in my home since I got it, and half the time I forget it’s even on. It can get a bit loud during certain cycles, but no louder than previous air purifiers I’ve owned. I also never thought I would refer to an air purifier’s design as “sleek,” but the MinusA2’s is. It can even be mounted to a wall if you are so inclined. That wouldn’t work for my space, and I’m honestly kind of bummed about that. Certain face plates for the MinusA2 can absolutely make this unit look like an intentional piece of art.

I got the odor control unit, and guests in my home have commented about the smell of smoke and other odors dissipating faster than before. During my morning house sweeping, I’ve noticed there is significantly less dust and hair being kicked up into the air. So the unit also seems to be doing its job and filtering the air in my under 900 sq ft home.

Overall, the MinusA2 seems like it will be a low-cost and low-maintenance option in the long run. It is already producing less noise and less waste than previous air purifiers I’ve used. You can get yours here.
