One of our current deep sci-fi obsessions is getting a second season! Apple TV+ has opted to renew “Foundation,” based on the works of the great Isaac Asimov. If you’re looking for an uber intelligent universally vast television series to lose yourself in, we highly recommend it. Starring Lee Pace, the series chronicles a technologically advanced society coming to the reality that a collapse is imminent. Authorities set as deities clash with the civilization’s leading scientific mind (Jared Harris), leading to all kinds of problems for everyone. Showrunner (and literal kid in a candy store on this project) David S.…

We are delighted to share the news that “WandaVision” favorite character Agatha Harkness, played by the wonderful Kathryn Hahn, is getting her own spinoff series! This isn’t really shocking, considering just how popular she became during the single-season run of the Marvel Studios show. Variety reports that “WandaVision” head writer Jac Schaeffer would serve as the writer and executive producer on the project, if Disney+ opts to go forward with it. That’s sort of all we know at this point, but we’ll let you know what else we hear.
New York Comic Con (NYCC) kicks off tomorrow in the Big Apple. The annual giant convention will be different this year, opting for a hybrid model (both in-person and virtual) much like Dragon Con. They’re also going for a reduced capacity cap at the Javits Center, which is a grand idea no matter what the reason. One of the panels we’re most looking forward to this year is for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming “The Wheel of Time” series. Based on the world created by Robert Jordan (later completed by Brandon Sanderson), “Wheel of Time” may just be the high fantasy…
Danny Boyle’s masterful yet hard to watch “Trainspotting” is getting a tv series, and we’re both excited and apprehensive. In a world of not-great sequels, “T2 Trainspotting” was absolutely mesmerizing, and a testament to Boyle’s filmmaking evolution. Featuring the returning main cast from 1996’s landmark flick, “T2” opened the doors for additional stories in the universe. That’s where this new project, “The Blade Artist,” comes in. Irvine Welsh, author of the 1993 novel “Trainspotting” which inspired Boyle’s films, published “The Blade Artist” in 2016. The story takes 20 years after the first novel, and will be the inspiration for a…
When someone tells you they’re going to spend 5 days in the Mojave Desert at a “Mad Max” themed festival, you just smile and nod, right? Who in their right mind would want to escape their normal day, wear scavenged torn and tattered clothing, and drive batshit crazy hulking cars and motorcycles in the middle of nowhere? Not to mention, live bands, DJs, every possible manner of bar and entertainment you can imagine?! Okay, the more we think about it, the more we absolutely want to go to Wasteland Weekend. 2021 marked the 11th year for the world-famous fully themed…
If you had told us a few years ago that we’d be getting a “The Suicide Squad” spinoff series focused on Peacemaker, we would’ve laughed at you. No, seriously. Why in the world would that premise ever work?! The answer? James Gunn and John Cena. Sure, make your own “but you can’t see him” jokes, but after the success of WB’s “The Suicide Squad,” sure seems like Peacemaker is on a whole other level. This could be a good thing, could be a bad thing, but will absolutely be a thing we’ll probably watch. This morning, HBO Max released an…
