Star Trek fans everywhere are celebrating the newly confirmed show for CBS All Access. Earlier today Deadline confirmed that Patrick Stewart would be reprising his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Next Generation. I was on a plane the other day looking for something to watch when I came across an episode of the new PowerPuff Girls that really stood out to me. It dealt with the theme of depression and how they were all dealing with the fact that Bubbles was just sad. She didn’t know why, she just was. Earlier this week Jared Stern confirmed that he has been tapped to write and direct a new DC Super Pets movie. Jared has worked on other children’s films having written The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago movie for Warner Bros. in the past. Netflix has confirmed that Daredevil Season 3 will be happening soon, 2018 soon. The Defenders, a series that debut on Netflix in 2017, has had all of its super hero counterparts renewed for new seasons of their respected shows. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Ben Affleck is set to direct a new McDonald’s movie centering around a McDonald’s  Monopoly rigging. Matt Damon is set to star in the film as the man who broke the system and conned McDonald’s out of $24 Million. Pearl Street Films is set to produce and Deadpool writers Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese will be responsible for the script. The Grudge remake being produced by Nicolas Pesce has brought up some issues. Taka Ichise who is responsible for producing Ju-on, and starting the entire Grudge franchise, has filed a suit against Good Universe. The suit involves a breach of contract that Good Universe refused to allow him to produce. Deadline reports that the suit was filed on July 30th in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The claim states that Good Universe acquired the right for The Grudge remake on the condition that they allow Ichise producer credit and paid the agreed upon amount.
