We haven’t seen Austin Powers grace the big screen since 2002’s Goldmember. However, a recent Verizon ad starring Mike Myers, Seth Green, Mindy Sterling, and Rob Lowe has reignited rumors of a 4th installment.
Now Myers has said that there will be an Austin Powers 4.

During Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party, a fan asked Myers about the long-awaited film. He responded with a quick and simple “Yes.” He didn’t give any more details about where it is in the development stages, just confirmed it is coming… at some point…
In 2020, franchise director Jay Roach spoke with Deadline. His comments made it pretty clear that he would return if Myers wanted to return. “I wouldn’t say ‘never’ never, but it does depend on Mike having something that he’s inspired about and after all these years it hasn’t quite clicked yet. But I’m always game for anything he wants to do. He’s a genius and he helped me get started and it was a blast.”
So, fans are hoping Myers “Yes” means that he is inspired by something and willing to reprise his role. This franchise is as much his baby as anyone else’s, making it hard to believe that he would try to come back after all this time with an idea he didn’t love.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about Austin Powers 4 as the project (hopefully) develops. You can watch the full interview below:
