Have you ever dreamed of going on a killing spree as Art The Clown? Well, video game developer Relevo and publisher Selecta Play are here to help with the upcoming “Terrifier: The ARTcade Game.”

The game will be a side scrolling beat-’em-up in the same vein as “Splatterhouse,” “Double Dragon,” and “Battletoads.” It will be available on Steam, and for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch consoles.

“Step into a world of pixelated carnage with Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, a gory retro fighting beat ’em up packed with intense action, dark humor, and tons of fun. Inspired by the classic beat ’em up games of the 80s and 90s,” ,” the game’s description on Steam reads. “Become Art The Clown, the sinister and unpredictable villain from the Terrifier series, as you unleash chaos across a variety of locations. Each stage is a movie set where a film about Art is being produced, but you’re here to disrupt the show!”

It captures the bright and cartoonish pixel art of 80’s and 90’s video games, along with “Terrifer”’s well-established darkly comedic tone and over-the-top gore. There will be weapons galore, of course, like chainsaws and cleavers to aid you on your mission.

There is not official release date set for “Terrifier: The ARTcade Game” yet. It’s expected to come out sometime in 2025. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the game as they become available. You can check out a trailer for the project linked below.
