Back in June, a possible collaboration between nuMetal band Korn and shoemaker Adidas was rumored. Well, the two just finally, officially announced the joint collection.

Everything has come full circle. The rockers will work with the sportswear brand on an official licensed clothing and shoe line. The collection features a selection of bold styles inspired by their 1996 album, “Life Is Peachy.” It will consist of two graphic t-shirts and a Three Stripes hoodie with the band’s logo on the front. As well as two takes on the signature Adidas Originals tracksuit, one in black with white accents and one with purple sequins.

But what’s an outfit without shoes, right? The footwear collection features a custom take on the chunky Campus 00s silhouette and an update to the Supermodified sneaker. Both looks sport a host of unique details including graphic insoles, spare laces, KoRn logos, a guitar pick keychain, and a co-branded box.
When Korn first came on to the metal scene 30 years ago they soon became synonyms with Adidas’ classic Three Stripes tracksuits. The band even went so far as to proclaim their love of the brand in the 1996 song, “A.D.I.D.A.S.” Which seemed to breed a bit of love/hate relationship since the song plays off the old school yard joke that the company name stood for “All Day I Dream About Sex.”

While Adidas kept providing Korn with free products, there was no official collaboration…yet. So the band switched to rocking Puma for a while in 1998. “We switched to Puma because they told us they’d put us in a commercial and give us a little money to wear their shit,” frontman Jonathan Davis told Kerrang. Now it seems the brand has embraced the NuMetal song.
The Adidas x Korn collection will be released on October 27th at select retailers and on Adidas’ website. Below you can check out the NSFW song that started it all:
