Zil Money Highlights QuickBooks Bill Import and Payment Status Sync for Vendor Payments

Businesses can move existing bill data from QuickBooks into Zil Money and use supported payment methods without re-entering the same payment information.

TYLER, Texas, September 12, 2026. Businesses that record vendor bills in QuickBooks but use another system to make payments can end up entering the same information more than once.

Zil Money is highlighting its existing QuickBooks integration, which allows businesses to import bills and invoices into Zil Money and continue the payment workflow without rebuilding the payment record from scratch.

Zil Money’s current product documentation says its QuickBooks-connected workflows support the import of invoices, bills, checks, and related payment information. Businesses can then review the imported information and use supported payment methods including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and eligible credit-card-funded payment workflows.

Zil Money’s QuickBooks integration is designed to reduce the repeated data-entry step between bookkeeping and payment operations.

That matters for finance teams because payment accuracy remains an important accounts payable control issue. APQC’s cross-industry benchmark for duplicate or erroneous disbursements reports a median of 1.5% across a sample of 1,686 organizations. The benchmark measures duplicate payments, payments to the wrong vendor, and payments for the wrong amount.

APQC’s duplicate and erroneous disbursement benchmark does not establish that accounting-system re-entry causes those errors. Zil Money therefore does not claim that QuickBooks bill import eliminates payment mistakes. The documented operational benefit is narrower: businesses can move existing bill information into the payment workflow instead of re-keying the same information.

From an Existing Bill to a Payment Workflow

A business can connect its QuickBooks account with Zil Money and bring supported bill or invoice information into the platform.

Once imported, the business can review the payment details and select an available payment method based on its workflow and the recipient’s requirements.

Zil Money’s support documentation also states that integrations including QuickBooks can push and pull bill information and payment statuses. This can help businesses keep payment activity connected with their accounting workflow rather than maintaining two completely separate records.

For a multi-location business, for example, an invoice entered into QuickBooks by an operations or accounting employee can move into Zil Money for payment processing without requiring another employee to recreate the bill manually.

The feature is intended for businesses that want to continue using QuickBooks for accounting while managing payment execution through Zil Money.
