One thing that Jack Black knows is personality, so we trust him when he says Pedro Pascal would make the perfect Wario. Since Pascal has won our hearts with his role as Din Djardin in “The Mandalorian” as well as numerous other roles, we’re totally in for the idea.

Black says if he’s learned anything from the “Kung Fu Panda” movies, it’s wise to have a new villain for each film. It helps to keep the audience on their toes and keeps the plot driving forward instead of re-hashing the same plot lines used in the first film.
“It’s not a given that Bowser will return. You know, I did a few Kung Fu Panda movies, and it was a different villain every movie. They may do the same thing,” Black told Gamespot. “You know, what if there is a more powerful, more evil villain? Then I may need to be turned to help Mario and the rest to defend our universe against some other unseen force of evil. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Wario. Pedro Pascal is Wario.”
Well, we *DID* see Pascal as Mario in an absolutely brilliant “Saturday Night Live” sketch. So why NOT Wario? And if Pedro is Wario, why not Diego Luna as Waluigi?!

Also, Black’s new song for “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” is tearing up the charts. “Peaches” is on everyone’s list to be the song of the summer. The film is in theaters now.
