Perhaps one of the series we are the most looking forward to this summer, STARZ wrestling drama “Heels,” just kicked off their first SDCC panel!
Starring Stephen Amell (“Arrow“) and Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings“), the pair play brothers Jack and Ace Spade, rivals in the ring but family none-the-less.
Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals war over their late father’s legacy. In the ring, somebody must play the good guy and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel. But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to or hard to leave behind.
Panelists include creator/EP Michael Waldron (“Loki,” “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness“), showrunner/EP Mike O’Malley (“Shameless,” “Survivor’s Remorse“), and series stars Amell, Ludwig, along with Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison, and, Chris Bauer round out the cast.
