Bruce Campbell Confirms “Evil Dead Now” to be Title for 4th Film

If you would have told Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell that the “Evil Dead” would become a cult classic they might not have believed you. Luckily though it did and deadites everywhere are now excited to hear that they are not only making a fourth film but they already have a name for it! “Evil Dead Now” will be the official name for the fourth installment in the “Evil Dead” Series.

While speaking with EMPIRE Magazine, Campbell confirmed the title:

“We’re just getting off the phone with Lee Cronin, who is writing and directing the next Evil Dead. It’s called Evil Dead Now. Sam handpicked Lee – he did a cool movie called The Hole In The Ground. We’re going to get that sucker out as soon as practical.”

Campbell has since retired from being Ash and hung up his chainsaw following STARZ’s “Ash vs. The Evil Dead” tv series. So who will play the lead role? Well that will go to female lead yet to be cast:

“From this point forward, they kind of have to stand on their own. Which is fine. And liberating. You could have different heroes, different heroines in this case. This one’s gonna be a little more dynamic.”

We don’t have a date for the new film but we are excited. Hopefully now that we have a title the date will be not far behind. And if you are wondering why Lee Cronin will be directing and not Sam Raimi, that’s because he’s now busy with directing “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

It will be Raimi’s first Marvel Studios / MCU film, and we are looking forward to what kind of movie he will make.
