    Months after Symmetra’s rework, Torbjorn’s rework is announce…and it’s a big one!

If you are an avid Overwatch player, you too have know, that Torbjorn was due for a much needed rework. Jeff Kaplan, Overwatch’s game director, announced this last Friday what this new Torbjorn will look like and we like it! Or at least I do. “The goals of all these charges is to make Torb a more acceptable pick on both attack and defense and less map or role-dependent then he was previously,” Said Kaplan.

    His changed are as follows:

    Rivet Gun

    • Primary fire speed increased from 60 to 70
    • Reload time reduced from 2.2 to 2 seconds

    Alternate Fire

    • Recovery lowered from 0.8 to 0.6 seconds
    • Total damage per shot lowered from 150 to 125
    • Reload time reduced from 2.2 to 2 seconds
    • Spread pattern adjusted and random spread reduced but 50%

    Deploy Turret

    • Now thrown projectile
    • Cooldown is reduced by half, this begins when turret is deployed
    • New turret cannot be place if the turret has taken or dealt damage in the last 3 seconds
    • New intact key allows you to manually tear down turret
    • No longer exploded if Torb dies while beign built
    • No more turret levels
    • Auto builds after 3 seconds
    • Same damage as old level 2 turret
    • 250 health

    Overload

    • Replaces Armor Pack ability
    • Adds 150 temporary armor for Torb only
    • Temporarily grants 30% increasing movement speed and increased Rivet Gun, along with reload time and attack speed, as well as hammer attack speed.
    • 5 second duration and 12 second cooldown

    NEW Ultimate: Molten Core

    • Launches up to 10 molten projectiles that spawn damaging pool where they land
    • Deals extra damage to enemies with armor
    • Bounces of walled until comes in contact with floor
    • Damage increases from 130 to 190 against enemies with armor

Along with Torbjorn’s rework, Pharah has gotten some major changes herself!

    Pharah

    Concussive Blast

    • Cooldown reduced from 12 to 9 seconds

    Rocket Launcher

    • Attack speed increased
    • Lowered recovery between shots from 0.9 to 0.75
    • Damaged redistributed between explosive and impact
    • Explosion damage reduced from 80 to 65
    • impact damage increased from 40 to 55
    • Explosion knockback reduced by 20%
    • Self knockback range increased by 25%

These new changes are big and will completely impact how the game is played. We will be seeing more Torbs on both attack and defense. This update is now live on PTR, so strictly on PC only. There is no announcement on when it will go live, as of yet.

What do you think of these changes? Are you now a Torbjorn main? Let Nerdbot know in the comments below.
