Over the weekend, the 82nd Annual Golden Globes award ceremony took place. The usual red carpet madness ensued- incredible garments, vintage pieces, couture pieces, and jewelry all adorned the nominees and presenters. One bling in particular has captured the attention of pretty much all the big news sites as Zendaya, nominated for her starring role in “Challengers,” was sporting a very large diamond on a certain finger. Actor Jason Momoa is making the jump from one high-profile DC Comics character to an anti-hero. That’s right, the Aquaman star is at long last officially playing Lobo. The news was announced by Momoa himself on December 30th. DC Studios co-head James Gunn confirmed it shortly thereafter. But what we want to show you now is a tease from the actor- a glimpse of the script for “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” with the words “Lobo’s Eyes Only” emblazoned on the front page. “BOOM Day 3 of 2025 I AM LOBO,” the post reads. The King of Atlantis is jumping titles, as Jason Momoa will indeed be playing another DC Comics character in an upcoming film. As the actor confirmed himself today, Momoa will be playing Lobo in “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” This is a role he’s been very passionate about for several years. We’re honestly surprised he didn’t launch his own project with the character before now. But maybe DC Studios co-head James Gunn knew this was the plan all along (doubtful but possible), and saved the role for Jason. “House of the Dragon” star Milly Alcock will play Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl.…

The next animated series coming to Disney+ featuring a Marvel Comics character just got it’s first trailer. “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” was created by Jeff Trammell, and stars Hudson Thames as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, Kari Wahlgren as May Parker, and Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn. It’ll swing onto Disney+ January 29th, 2025.

We never thought “Happy Gilmore,” an Adam Sandler golf movie from the 90s, would get a sequel. But, we’re almost at the end of 2024, and that’s exactly what’s happening next year. “Happy Gilmore 2″ is coming to Netflix, and Sandler himself just shared the first teaser. Julie Bowen returns as Virginia Venit, and so does Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. The film will also star Bad Bunny, Margaret Qualley (“The Substance” ), Nick Swardson, Travis Kelce, Scott Mescudi (aka rapper Kid Cudi), and Benny Safdie (who directed “Uncut Gems”).  Kyle Newacheck directs. “Happy Gilmore 2” is set to hit Netflix…

Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic tale “Snow White” has some new songs for audiences to experience. Of of these, “Waiting on a Wish,” was given a special look earlier this morning. The song was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul of “La La Land” fame (or infamy, depending on how you feel about that movie). Oscar nominee Rachel Zegler (“West Side Story,” “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes“) stars as Snow White, with Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.”Snow White” hits theaters March 21st, 2025.

We’re not sure how to tell you this, but one of the largest streaming houses out there has made a very, very strange choice. Edits to films from a different era are nothing new, but for one iconic seasonal classic, we’re just over here scratching our heads. Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” is more than just a take on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” it’s a beautiful film about so much more.
