Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

One of our favorite times of year (aside from Spooky Season) is the Discovery Channel manufactured summer mainstay, Shark Week! Entering into its 32nd season, this year’s event couldn’t come at a better time. Originally beginning in July of 1988, the week-long offerings of all things sharks has grown exponentially over the past several years, finding new fans with the aid of social media and incredible ad campaigns. Like that time Michael Phelps raced a shark, Rob Lowe fulfilled his “Baywatch” fantasies, Eli Roth as the most perfect host for the season, and Bob the Shark. This year, we get…

While we may not be getting to experience Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” on its 10th anniversary the way Warner Bros. Pictures intended, we can still absolutely appreciate the time and effort being put forth to remind us how great of a film it is. True, the anniversary came and went last month, with minimal fuss. This was mostly because, you know- movie theaters are still not open in the United States due to Covid-19 and the general public’s inability to wear a damn mask. We were ROBBED, absolutely robbed of the chance to experience the visual dreamscape of “Inception” in a…
