We were delighted to break the news yesterday that Anya Taylor Joy had officially been cast for the upcoming 5th film in George Miller’s epic and incredible post apocalyptic visionary franchise, “Mad Max” as a younger version of Charlize Theron’s “Fury Road” character Imperator Furiosa. The news came with additional casting announcements of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (“Aquaman”) and Thor himself- Chris Hemsworth.Needless to say, Hemsworth is really excited to join the madness. The actor took to his personal Instagram to share his exact thoughts about “Furiosa”: “Pretty damn fired up to be a part of a franchise that meant the…

Sometimes you see a description of a project, and it screams “PLEASE WATCH ME.” That’s sort of what happened when we first heard about the “Boys From County Hell;” an Irish vampire comedy horror film that Shudder just picked up the North American streaming rights for. The film follows Eugene Moffat, who spends his days drinking pints with his friends and pranking tourists at the grave site of Abhartach — a legendary Irish vampire who may have inspired Stoker’s infamous Dracula. Sinister events unfold when Eugene and his father’s construction crew knock over Abhartach’s supposed resting place and they are…
Disney+ series “WandaVision” is right around the corner, and if there’s one thing Marvel Studios knows how to do to get fans ready for their projects- it’s merchandising. The first trailer for the series featuring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda and Paul Bettany as Vision received lots of praise from “Avengers” fans, and surprise delight from comic book fans for the appearance of classic character costumes. You can watch that teaser trailer here.BUT what we wanna tell you about is this set of “WandaVision” Funko pop vinyls available from Entertainment Earth right now! [Pregnant] 70’s Wanda You can order her here.…
Any time a new Nicolas Cage film is on the horizon, we know what to expect- for the most part. When Cage lends his…unique…style to a production, it’s one of two things. A reminder of why he continues to appear in projects, or a constant head scratching question of why he continues to appear in projects. We’re not sure which one “Jiu Jitsu” is gonna be yet, but he’s got a sword and fights a robot that looks suspiciously like Netflix’s “Lost in Space” reboot robot. An ancient order of Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious race of alien invaders in…
Just this morning, Paul W. S. Anderson’s next video game adaptation film “Monster Hunter” released their full-length trailer. Based on the CAPCOM title first released in 2004 for PS2, this take stars Milla Jovovoich as Captain Artemis, and has some big-ass weapons for you purists. Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When an unexpected sandstorm transports Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is…
We can’t wait for season 2 of live-action “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” to hit on Disney+ later this month. We’ve watched the trailer….we don’t wanna admit how many times now, and each new release only fuels our interest!Disney+ just released a new tv spot for season 2 the series, which has a few new blink-and-you-miss-it scenes. It’s short, extremely short, but we’ll take what we can get til “The Mandalorian” season 2 hits on October 30th, only on Disney+.
As we assumed would happen, one of the few remaining in-person events still scheduled to be happening in 2020 has made the difficult decision to shift to 2021. We’re speaking this time of the annual Creation Official Star Trek Convention that transports to Las Vegas.Creation’s Official Star Trek Convention was scheduled for December 9th-13th, 2020 at the Rio in Vegas, but has now been rebranded, and rescheduled to August 11th-15th, 2021 (still at the Rio). The announcement is an interesting one, which reveals that next year’s event will no longer be sporting the official “Star Trek” title. We are renaming…
We love sandworms around here- no matter if they’re from Arrakis, The Netherworld, or your basic graboid variety. Thankfully there’s no shortage of “Tremors” films for aficionados to get their giant destructive worm fix, and with a 7th installment on the horizon, no sign of them going away anytime soon. Just a little while ago, Universal Pictures released an official documentary about the franchise which is celebrating 30 years, and we absolutely needed to see Kevin Bacon wax poetic about the series of movies. (But also, when did he turn into Gary Oldman?) You can see the “Tremors: Making Perfection”…
HELLO THERE. It’s finally happened- someone has figured out how to create a real, working lightsaber. The Hacksmith (James Hobson), who is notorious (in a good way) for his incredible builds is responsible for this plasma blade that burns at about 4000* Fahrenheit. You’ve GOT to watch his new video detailing the process. And yes, he can change the blade’s color!
Surprising no one, Los Angeles Comic Con has reversed their absolutely ridiculous decision to hold an in person event in 2020 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We say their decision, but it sure sounds like they were told in no uncertain terms they were NOT allowed to go ahead with their plan by various officials and health advisors. From the email that just went out:
