Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

One of our favorite panels during today’s DC FanDome event was a last minute addition, all about the history of Milestone Comics. And, the return of the imprint in 2021! Marc Bernardin moderated the panel, and he was joined by DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, Milestone partner/producer Reginald Hudlin, Milestone co-founder Denys Cowan, and Phil LaMarr.During the panel, Hudlin confirmed plans for a live-action “Static Shock” film, assumably through Warner Bros. Pictures. “We’re talking with other divisions at Warner Bros, even those in animated about doing (Milestone Media) feature films, and we’re also involved in extending the Milestone characters into new media, like…

We’re not even halfway through Warner Bros. DC FanDome event, and today it was all about the Hall of Heroes. This included the release of a brand new “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer, Neil Gaiman updating on “Sandman,” and what exactly is happening with the Ezra Miller-starring “The Flash” solo film. We already knew a few things about this film before the panel, as just last week it was confirmed that Ben Affleck would be returning as the Capped Crusader for “The Flash,” joining previous Batman Michael Keaton. It stands to reason that we’ll be getting possibly MORE Batmen showing up,…

We knew today’s DC FanDome kickoff would include several first look things- trailers, title treatments, and new images for the upcoming slate of Warner Bros. Pictures DCEU titles. While it’s been delayed a few times now, we’re still REALLY excited for “Wonder Woman 1984,” and Steve Trevor’s fannypack. The BEST part of the panel was when the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter showed up! “Mom, I finally understand. I understand why everyone idolized you,” Carter shared about her own experience with her daughter watching the revamped “Wonder Woman.”Gadot says she calls Carter “mama bear,” and that is the purity we…

Kathleen Kennedy, the head of LucasFilm, had some interesting things to say about the current state of the galaxy far, far away. As far as “Star Wars” goes, there seems to be a never-ending future and rich past to pull inspiration from, to keep the storytelling going for generations to come. That said, Kennedy thinks the time has come for fans and creators to “step back and really absorb what George [Lucas] has created.”In a recent chat with TheWrap, Kennedy spoke about the future of the franchise, and how she thinks TV will become a large part of the tales…

Every so often, a piece of Disneyland history so out there, so absolutely insane, makes a resurgence on the internet. No, we’re not talking about Captain EO, but this is pretty close? Early this morning, we were enjoying a leisurely stroll down Twitter lane, when THIS popped up- “Live From the Space Stage: A HALYX Story.” In the summer of 1981, a Star Wars-adjacent KIϟϟ-inspired band rocked the Space Stage in Tomorrowland at Disneyland, and that is just the start of the story. Live from the Space Stage: A Halyx Story is a feature documentary on one of the most…

Comedy Central is the latest cabler to take a look at their current slate of shows, and decide to cancel some. Unfortunately, Derek Waters’ “Drunk History” is one of the casualties, as the series will end at season 6. And today, “Tosh.0” also got the axe. Season 12 is still scheduled to premiere in September, with the series finale set for November 24th, 2020. Back in January, Comedy Central had renewed “Tosh.0” for 4 seasons, with a 10-episode count for each. Clearly, that isn’t going to happen. With these two cancelations, the only live action scripted comedy remaining on the channel is…
