Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We love Sacha Baron Cohen. Sure, his brand of humor isn’t always the best, but we respect the hell out of him for his various stances and positions he never backs down from across several subjects. Like that Freddie Mercury biopic Baron Cohen was going to be starring in alongside Lady Gaga. YEAH. We’re still mad we didn’t get THAT version, especially after the horribly bland (and oftentimes offensive) version we got from Bryan Singer that Dexter Fletcher valiantly tried to rescue. But perhaps the thing most folks know Baron Cohen from his is absolutely outrageous character, Borat. Imagine if…

ANYHOW, we want to talk about Chris Hemsworth, and what he just told Elle Man about his future as Thor Odinson in the MCU. Namely, that Thor 4, “Thor: Love and Thunder,” will NOT be his last outing in the role. Hemsworth made sure he was VERY clear about his desire to continue as the God of Thunder, even with…

Surprising no one- or at least, surprising no one paying attention to the current still-in-lockdown-status-of-the-USA, Universal Pictures has made the decision to move Nia DaCosta’s upcoming “Candyman” reboot flick to sometime in 2021. We say “sometime” because at publication of this piece, there is no current set date other than 2021. Nia DaCosta (Little Woods) directs this reimagining of the cult classic horror film from a script by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and herself. For as long as residents can remember, the housing projects of Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood were terrorized by a word-of-mouth ghost story about a supernatural killer…
