Comic Con International, parent company of WonderCon and San Diego Comic Con (among other events), just clarified what their nebulous “November event” will be. If you’ll recall, CCI announced that they would not be having the traditional San Diego Comic Con event in July of 2021. 2021’s WonderCon at Home has kicked off in earnest, and Hulu stop motion series “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” has taken center stage. Some surprise casting was announced during the panel! The golden state of California just released a new set of guidelines for reopening theme parks, like Disneyland and Universal Studios, which have been shuttered for over a year now. Disneyland has been experimenting with smaller-scale ticketed events, like A Touch of Disney, before their full reopening. So far, the experiment seems to be going well, and a late April reopening for the Anaheim park seems likely. Universal recently reopened as well, with limited access to certain attractions and food offerings. We are so very sorry to report the news that author Beverly Cleary, most known for her Ramona Quimby series of books, has passed away. Cleary was 104, and passed peacefully at her Carmel home on March 25th, 2021. Paramount Pictures is moving ever forward with a brand new chapter in their “Transformers” film franchise. The sentient robot saga will continue with a brand new stand alone movie, and as of today, we know who’s in charge.According to our friends over at Collider, Angel Manuel Soto will be directing. Marco Ramirez (“Sons of Anarchy,” “The Twilight Zone” 2019) will be writing the script. We’ve been waiting for a new trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming “The Suicide Squad” for sometime now.
