One of the festive offerings we’ll be getting on Disney+ next month just got a new trailer! LEGO “Star Wars” has been it’s own kind of magic, and we’re delighted to be getting a Halloween edition! “LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales” is a little “What If?…” and a little spooky campfire storytelling. You’ll see things in the trailer that hardcore fans will immediately recognize, such as bringing Darth Maul back to life! And, some Knights of Ren for you Kylo fans. We are pretty damn excited to confirm that yes, the long-awaited trailer for “The Matrix Resurrections” will be hitting later this week. We are very sorry to share the news that multi Emmy nominated actor Michael K. Williams has died. The star of such critically acclaimed series as “The Wire,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “When They See Us” was reportedly found unresponsive in his New York apartment. The NYC Police department confirmed to Variety that Williams was found at his home, deceased. A further statement was released sometime later indicating his death was being investigated as a possible drug-related overdose. If you thought the ever-moving movie release slate was done with adjustments, you’d be WRONG. Announced this morning, Sony’s upcoming “Venom” sequel has changed dates yet again. This time however, it’s a move forward rather than a delay. According to the official “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” social medias, the film will NOW be hitting theaters on October 1st, rather than the 15th. This could be due to the theatrical release-only success of Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings,” which is seeing the highest Labor Day opening ever at around $90 million. In case you missed it, earlier this week Adult Swim animated series “Rick and Morty” released a live action promo featuring none other than Christopher Lloyd as Rick Sanchez. Of course, this animated character was based on Lloyd’s iconic “Back To The Future” character Doc Brown. Earlier today, a new live action promo with Lloyd and Jaeden Martell as Rick and Morty, respectively. And, just a few minutes ago, a third video was released. The season 5 finale of the animated series aired on Adult Swim earlier tonight.

Dragon Con 2021 is happening right now. With panels covering everything in fandom from “Star Trek” to “Steven Universe,” there’s a little bit for everyone. A bit of news for you “American Gods” fans from Ricky Whittle himself happened during a panel for the cancelled series. This weekend, Dragon Con is taking place in Atlanta, GA. Even if you couldn’t make it to the annual Labor Day event, the organization offered a virtual option for fans this year. Production on Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming superhero sequel “Aquaman 2” is coming along, with the first look at new costumes released this morning.
