After what seems like 40 years, collectors can finally add another official George Lucas figure to their “Star Wars” collections. This isn’t the first time the Creator has been immortalized in plastic, but he’s now joining Hasbro’s Black Series.The Black Series has been largely applauded as one of the best lines of “Star Wars” figures, and this Lucas as a Stormtrooper is the latest addition.He’ll be available for purchase on Wednesday, September 29th at 1 pm (EST) on Amazon and other retailers. After what feels like forever, the 25th installment in the James Bond film franchise, “No Time To Die,” is finally hitting theaters. Yesterday, science fiction television fans were once again divided over news regarding “Babylon 5.” The much maligned yet loved series was first released in 1993, and has remained a staple of the genre. Often mentioned alongside “Farscape,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” and “Battlestar Galactica” (reimagined), “Babylon 5” is getting a reboot at The CW. One of the lynchpins of 90s science fiction television is coming back! J. Michael Straczynski, creator “Babylon 5,” is bringing a new version of the series to The CW. This from-the-ground-up reboot will be helmed by JMS, and will pull some inspiration from the original series. Earthforce Officer John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) will still lead the story, which will still take place on the neutral outpost. The one and only William Shatner is heading to space. But for REAL this time. He’ll be accompanying Amazon founder Jeff Bezos aboard Blue Origin’s lower Earth orbit next month. Shatner, who just turned 90, is familiar with starships, albeit the original Enterprise from “Star Trek.” The initial report indicated the trip was part of a documentary, and that Shatner’s 15-minute mission would be part (if not the main focus) of the project. One of the shows we’re the most looking forward to hitting Netflix in the coming year is the live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman.” Not to be confused with the AMAZING audio drama version.This morning, the streaming giant released brand new character posters for some of the key players in the series, as well as a sneak peek/first look at Tom Sturridge as Morpheus / Dream. This morning, streaming powerhouse Netflix released some information about their planned expanded universe based on the works of Roald Dahl. Chief among the big announcements included confirmation that Taika Waititi will be adapting Dahl’s much beloved “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” with “Zootopia” writer Phil Johnston handling the script. Back in 2018, Netflix struck a deal with The Roald Dahl Story Company for rights to 16 of Dahl’s works.
