According to a report that quickly made its way around the web, the upcoming live-action adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Air Bender” may start filming later this year. The news comes from production paperwork, which reportedly indicates filming on the show will start in Vancouver, Canada. This just in- According to Deadline, who claims exclusive knowledge of such things, a short list of those being seriously considered for the role of Barbara Gordon in a live action “Batgirl” film project has been revealed. As usual, take this with a grain of bat-salt because there is every possibility none of these actors will end up in the role. Isabela Merced (“Dora The Explorer”), Zoey Deutch (“Zombieland: Double Tap”), and singer/songwriter Leslie Grace (“In The Heights”) are reportedly being eyed by Warner Bros., with Haley Lu Richardson (“Columbus”) also mentioned. Yes, we know that headline is a little ominous, but it’s absolutely true! Just like it’s original counterpart, The CW’s rebooted “Charmed” series is losing one of its stars. Madeleine Mantock, who plays Macy Vaughn, has decided to exit the show after the third season. This, oddly enough, is exactly what happened with the original “Charmed,” as Shannen Doherty left the show after season 3. Reports from the time indicated that Doherty and fellow star Alissa Milano did not get along. Today marks the release of filmmaker Morgan Neville’s “Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain.” We’ve reviewed it twice here at Nerdbot, and while one of us liked it more than the other, we both acknowledged the importance of such a film.
