Sounds like Oscar winning composer Michael Giacchino has been favored by the Norse Gods! Or at least…Taika Waititi and Marvel Studios. We are sorry to report that Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” will not get a second season. Normally in this situation, the first thing we’d say is something like “Oh, maybe Netflix will save it!” But obviously…that isn’t going to happen this time.The series was originally announced to great excitement. And some trepidation. But much of that did go away when the casting was revealed. Especially John Cho as Spike Spiegel. We are SO DAMN EXCITED for Mike Flanagan’s upcoming adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s “Fall of the House of Usher” project for Netflix. I mean, we were ALREADY just delighted with the idea, and now with the cast list being revealed, even more-so. A long time coming for baristas and other employees of Starbucks. For the first time in the 50-year history of the coffee chain giant, a union of workers has formed. A set of three Starbucks stores in Buffalo, NY held elections, and voted 19 to 8 in favor of forming a union. Workers were hoping for better pay, better training, and transparency with wage discrepancies. It was revealed that workers with the company for several years were not getting raises, and new hires were being paid more than long-time employees. The wait for a live-action “Halo” is almost over. The tv series based on the ever-popular video game franchise has been in development for years. Steven Spielberg has been trying to get it made since 2013. SHOWTIME picked it up in 2018, and it’s sort of been kicking around ever since.
