Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Marvel Studios next action packed superhero film “Black Widow” is about to [FINALLY] release, and folks are already asking a lot of sequel questions. Specifically if director Cate Shortland (the first woman to head a MCU film solo) had any thoughts about a possible followup. While speaking to the Radio Times, Shortland *did* say she’d be willing to do another “Widow” film. “I feel really happy about it. Usually I feel dread when I have something coming out, but this time, I feel really happy. I think because it was such a group effort. I mean, all the beautiful fights and…

Ming-Na Wen is a galactic treasure, and we are so so lucky to have her. When her “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” character Fennec Shand appeared in Disney+’s live action “The Mandalorian,” fans were ecstatic! Perhaps none so much than Wen herself, though. At the tail end of “The Mandalorian” season 2, audiences were surprised with the confirmation that yes, at long last, Boba Fett would be getting his own series, “The Book of Boba Fett.” Theoretically, other bounty hunter characters will make appearances in that series (as well as s3 of Mando), but will we be seeing more of…

We’re not sure if this is something to celebrate, or scratch our heads about, but two fans have really outdone themselves. Perhaps you’ll recall the iconic scene from “Dumb and Dumber” take a mini bike road trip to Aspen. It’s a long, strange journey to take on such a small vehicle, but two friends have done exactly that. This isn’t something we’d really recommend doing, because you know….it’s pretty dumb. Ari and Zack reportedly made their own mini bike to perform this fete, which you can read more about here. But check out the video:

As someone who just finished my…4th rewatch of David Chase’s “The Sopranos,” I’m SO EXCITED for this prequel film. Calling it that is almost a disservice, as the stories we’re going to see in “The Many Saints of Newark” are just as important if not more so than the 6 season original HBO series.Starring James Gandalfini’s son Michael Gandalfini as young Tony Soprano, “Many Saints” tells the story of the Soprano family’s rise to power. This new trailer features our first look at Richard “Dickie” Moltisanti (Chris’s dad), Uncle Junior, Livia, and many more important figures in Tony’s life. Young Anthony…

Remember when Disney purchased LucasFilm, and decided to make some name changes to certain things? Specifically, Princess Leia’s golden bikini from Jabba’s Palace in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” Originally called the ‘Slave Leia’ outfit, the House of Mouse changed it to be ‘Hutt Slayer.’ All things considered, it was a good change, reflecting the continual self-rescuing abilities of the Last Princess of Alderaan. Even the late great Carrie Fisher approved of the change. (Also, remember the Death Squad Commander figure from Kenner?)But, a NEW change has the galaxy far, far away in an uproar. Mind you this is…
