Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

The most recent episode of Paramount+ series “Star Trek: Picard” featured a pretty amazing cameo. Yes, so too did the season 4 finale episode of “Star Trek: Discovery,” but this one is for the classic Trek fans. The episode, directed by Leah Thompson, sees the return of The Punk from “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.” If you didn’t know, that iconic Save The Whales bus-riding mohawk-wearin’ guy is none other than Kirk Thatcher. Producer, special effects wizard, writer, director- this guy does it all. Obviously, if you’ve seen the episode, you know there’s another pretty big character return. But,…

Also…a mysterious website teased at the very tail end of the film. Erik Davis, EiC of Fandango, posted additional images. AND THEN, Rotten Tomatoes swoops in with a deleted scene. “The Batman” is still in theaters, and will hit HBO Max on…

Okay say what you will about the “Blade” trilogy…yes, they are absolutely a product of the time they were produced. Yes, maybe they’re not as awesome as we remember. But they kind of are? Starring Wesley Snipes as the black Marvel Comics day-walking vampire character, “Blade” SHOULD be the film we point to as starting the MCU. I know, I know, that’s an unpopular opinion. But, it came before “Hulk.” It came before “Fantastic Four.” Hell, it even came before Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man.” (“Blade II” actually came out before those three films, too.)All three Snipes “Blade” films are hitting Netflix…

After decades of planning, a live-action “Voltron” may finally be happening. A project from “Red Notice” helmer Rawson Marshall Thurber, word has spread of a package circulating Hollywood. According to reports, the possible “Voltron” pitch included a reel. Netflix is apparently NOT in the running for a possible home for the project. Which is strange, considering both “Voltron: Legendary Defender” and “Red Notice” are both at home on the streaming service. Thurber will direct, and will reportedly co write the script with Ellen Shanman. At present, sounds like Amazon, Universal, and Warner Bros. Pictures are the most anxious to land “Voltron.”…

With a rigid sense of right and wrong, Harvey’s idealism and single-minded quest for justice will ironically and tragically transform him into one of Gotham’s most feared supervillains, Two-Face.” “Gotham Knights” doesn’t currently have an expected release date, but production is…
