It’s been a while since we heard anything about Disney+’s upcoming adaptation of Rick Riordan’s hugely popular Percy Jackson book series. After 2 luke-warm feature film attempts, things went quiet at Camp Half Blood. We hate to make the obvious joke, but it truly looks like “Fast & Furious” really is all about family. In this case, the connection between Vin Diesel and his goddaughter, Meadow Walker. Meadow is the daughter of the late “Fast & Furious” star Paul Walker.Earlier this month, Meadow got married. Her godfather was there to walk her down the aisle. Pretty heartwarming, not gonna lie. Heck yes, this is one of those awesome bits of news we’re delighted to see confirmed. We already knew Hayden Christensen was returning to the galaxy far, far away as his “Star Wars” alter ego Anakin Skywalker for the upcoming Disney+ series “Kenobi.” But, today we get the added bonus of even MORE Hayden Christensen for live-action series “Ahsoka!”This of course could maybe mean we’ll get to see newly-minted Darth Vader as well as Anakin. On Thursday October 21st, an awful and by all accounts preventable nightmare occurred on the set of “Rust,” a western film starring Alec Baldwin. A pistol was fired by Baldwin, striking both cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza. Hutchins was killed, Souza was treated for his injuries. IASTE Local 44 issued an email to their Sante Fe members, indicating a single live round was in play, causing this tragedy.
