Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Never did we think PETA would give advice to gamers. Like….seriously? PETA? Telling people what they should and should not be doing while playing “Elden Ring?” Must be one of those final seals shattering or something. Shocking no one, all the things are animal-related.1.) Take your dogs for a lovely walk around the week. 2.) Persuade mercenaries not to exploit horses.3.) Observe wildlife from a safe and respectful distance.4.) Check out an animal sanctuary.5.) Spend a peaceful moment with amazing animals. And then of course there’s a huge red letter urge for folks to go vegan.

Marvel Studios, pinnacle of superhero films, have taken a very public stand. Following a month of discourse around parent company Disney’s political contributions, the entertainment giant has their own statement. Namely, Disney has come under fire for their large financial contributions to lawmakers who wrote, sponsored and support Florida’s nefarious “Don’t Say Gay’ bill, as well as voter suppression laws and other hot topic issues. Disney CEO Bob Chapek has since offered an apology of sorts, but, it hasn’t really helped members of the community who feel unsupported by Disney. We’re not even a week since Spring Forward and the return of Daylight Savings. Seriously. Most people’s clocks aren’t even adjusted yet, amiright? While a literal war is raging in Ukraine and Covid is still a very real concern, the US Senate just voted unanimously in favor of making Daylight Savings time permanent. After almost a full decade of speculation, DreamWorks has indeed confirmed “Puss in Boots 2” is happening. Titled “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” a trailer was released earlier this morning. Salma Hayek Pinault returns, as does Antonio Banderas. First things’ first- Dolly Parton, you absolutely deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The museum and foundation aims to celebration individuals and groups who’s contributions to rock and roll have been monumental.
