The political influences behind Amazon Prime Video’s series “The Boys” is becoming a touchier subject among some fans with each passing season. With the series is starting up it’s fourth season, showrunner Eric Kripke did an interview where he discussed some of his real-world inspirations. Get ready to turn that frown upside down. Writer/director Parker Finn‘s film “Smile” was the surprise horror hit of 2022. Paramount Pictures just released the first terrifying teaser trailer for his follow-up film, “Smile 2.” Finn will once again be writing and directing the upcoming feature. Kyle Gallner will reprise his role as Joel. Amazon MGM Studios is adapting author Andy Weir’s novel “Project Hail Mary” into a feature film. “Die Hart”’s Milana Vayntrub will be joining the cast alongside Ryan Gosling (“The Fall Guy”) and Oscar Nominee Sandra Hüller (“Anatomy of a Fall“). “Project Hail Mary” tells the story of a middle school science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling). Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), a labor union representing over 51,000 professional live theater actors/stage managers, has ceased issuing contracts for work on productions in development. This massive decision is due to stalled negotiations between the AEA and the Broadway League over contracts. In January, AEA started contract negotiations with the Broadway League. On June 14th, everyone’s favorite superhero/villain Homelander, did an Ask Me Anything (AMA) thread on Reddit. After last year’s “Blue Beetle” movie underperformed at the box office, fans thought it was over for Jaime Reyes’ adventures. However, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios haven’t given up on our favorite arthropod, as a new animated series is currently in development. Listen up, brother! Legendary hall of fame wrestler Hulk Hogan is getting into the beer business. The Hulkster’s new brew is fittingly christened Real American Beer. In May of this year, seafood chain Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy. Shortly thereafter, an unlikely hero rushed to its aid.
