In 2014, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured Peyton Leutner into a park where they attempted to stab her to death. They believed the heinous act would win the favor of the fictional character Slender Man. We are sorry to report that British actress and theater producer Jill Freud has passed away. The 98-year-old was also a former housekeeper for author C.S. Lewis, and served as the inspiration for Lucy Pevensie in his “Chronicles of Narnia” series.  Her passing was announced earlier today by her daughter, Emma Curtis, via Instagram.  “My beautiful 98 year old mum has taken her final bow,” she writes. “After a loving evening — where we knew she was on her way — surrounded by children, grandchildren and pizza, she told us all to f*** off so she could go to sleep.…

So Warner Bros. is still in the middle of a lawsuit with Michael Crichton’s estate over “The Pitt.” The show stars Noah Wyle, and aims to be a realistic examination of the challenges facing modern-day health care workers in a Pittsburgh hospital. Tthe show bears striking similarities to the medical drama “ER,” including its star and several members of the creative team. Seems like Legendary is in its Noah Centineo (“Warfare”) era. The actor is already shooting “Street Fighter” for the company, and now he is in talks to star in its upcoming “Gundam” movie. The film would have him co-starring with Sydney Sweeney (“Immaculate”) in a live-action adaptation of the popular anime franchise.  This currently untitled “Gundam” movie will be written and directed by Jim Mickle (“Sweet Tooth”). The overall franchise started in 1979, and it features giant robots, or mecha, known as Gundam. “Knives Out” franchise creator Rian Johnson is joining the ever-growing list of creators speaking out against AI. In a recent interview, the filmmaker discussed his upcoming movie, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” as well as potential future projects. After 25 years, there is still a debate raging over who the real Slim Shady is. Rapper Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, has filed a petition to cancel the trademark after it was approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The brand in question is a Sydney-based company called Swim Shady. There have been rumblings for months that season 4 of HBO’s “The White Lotus” will be set in France. Earlier today, Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max, confirmed this during an HBO Max programming presentation in New York. “It’s going to be in France,” Bloys said about “The White Lotus” season 4. “Mike [White] is writing and just starting.” He also added that the project is still “very, very early” in the casting process.  “The White Lotus” has already had seasons set in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand. The 3rd season of HBO’s “House Of The Dragon” won’t premiere until summer 2026. But the “Game of Thrones” prequel has already been greenlit for season 4, which is set to debut in 2028. Given past comments made by the series’s showrunner Ryan Condal, some fans are asking if this will be the last season. Condal has previously said the series will end after 4 seasons.
