Prime Video’s “God of War” television series is really starting to take shape. Emmy-winning director Frederick E.O. Toye (“Shōgun,” “The Boys”) will direct the first 2 episodes. He joins the previously announced showrunner, executive producer, and writer Ronald D. Moore (“Outlander”). The show is based on the wildly popular PlayStation video game franchise of the same name. In 2003, Oscar-nominated Aaron Blaise’s hand-drawn animated feature film “Brother Bear” hit theaters. 22 years later, and Blaise is back with the hand-drawn short film “Snow Bear,” which is already going viral on YouTube. Over 20 years after the release of “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2,” director Quentin Tarantino is still bleeding that well dry. The filmmaker has also been vocal about an important story known as “Yuki’s Revenge,” which didn’t make it into the original two films. Now, after years of railing against streaming films, he will be releasing an animated version inside the video game “Fortnite.” “Yuki’s Revenge” follows Yuki, the sister of Gogo Yubari (Chiaki Kuriyama), as she tracks The Bride (Uma Thurman) to avenge her sister’s death. We have some good news from DreamWorks Animation and Universal’s “Shrek 5.” Marcello Hernández (“Saturday Night Live”) and Skyler Gisondo (“Superman”) have joined the voice cast as Shrek and Fiona’s sons, Fergus and Farkle aka the Brogers. They’ll be joining the ogre’s brood alongside Zendaya, who plays their sister, Felicia. Franchise mainstays Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz will all be returning as Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona, respectively. “Shrek 5” is co-directed by Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn. 35 years later, actor Macaulay Culkin is still best known for playing Kevin McCallister in Chris Columbus’s “Home Alone.” Aside from returning for the 1992 follow-up “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” he has spent decades trying to distance himself from the franchise. In 2017, Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden, passed away. On November 8th, 2025, the band was finally inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
