Actor and filmmaker Luke Barnett (“The ‘Burbs”) is hard at work on their newest horror short, “Goodbye, Monster.” Now the production has partnered with the iconic Fangoria Studios for the upcoming film!

“Goodbye, Monster,” stars Barnett and Kue Lawrence with vocal performances by Patton Oswalt and Tina Majorino.

Barnettboth writes and directs the compelling story of a 12-year-old boy and the monster under his bed. It is created using practical effects with Dan Crawley (“Terrifier 3”) creating the visuals.

“For anyone who loves horror, Fangoria is sacred ground,” says Barnett. “They’re champions of practical effects, fearless storytelling, and filmmakers who take big swings. It’s a dream come true to collaborate with a team so passionate about the art form. Long live practical effects.”

“Luke is someone we’ve watched make incredible choices over the past few years with his shorts, and we knew we wanted to be part of what he’s creating,” Tara Ansley, co-owner of Fangoria, said in a statement.

“Goodbye, Monster” is currently in post-production and is slated to premier on the festival circuit later this year. We’ll keep you posted on project updates as they develop.
