Hi, I’m Amy. I like long walks in the graveyard, horror movies, comic books, and bringing you the latest in nerd-centric news.

Actor Kevin Bacon will star in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming horror action series “The Bondsman.” This will be Bacon’s second starring role in an Amazon original show following the comedy series “I Love Dick.” “The Bondsman” will focus on Hub Halloran (Bacon), a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead. Giving him an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career. But he soon finds out that his old job now has a demonic new twist. The new show has been given a straight-to-series order by the streamer for eight half-hour-long episodes. “The Bondsman” is the…

Ever since Disney announced a live-action adaptation of their animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” there have been rumors about some of the original voice cast returning. Recently Jason Scott Lee, who voiced David and his fancy hair, confirmed that he would have a cameo in the upcoming film. “I got a little, small [part],” Lee said on the “Kyle Meredith With…” podcast. “They threw me some bones, and I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely! In any capacity. I just wanted to be a part of it, so it’s a three-day cameo, and I think it will be fun.” He then went on…

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, California will make history by installing a 30-acre solar farm on its property! According to political strategist, pundit, and writer Cheri Jacobus, this 12-megawatt solar carport will be installed over the visitor and employee parking lot. No trees should need to be cut down. Plus, it will provide shade for cars along with powering the park.  The site is expected to produce 20.8 million kilowatt hours of energy annually. Which is enough to offset 100% of the park’s energy needs. Meaning this one farm can power 20 roller coasters and all the other rides,…

That long-awaited “Spawn” reboot isn’t dead yet. Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, says the film is still in “very, very active development.” So much so, he’s hopeful for a release sometime in 2025. Currently, it sounds like the ongoing WGA strike preventing a new script is the major hold-up. “I would say you have a lot to hope for because it’s in very very active development,” Blum said. “What needs to happen is that my fellow friends the writers and the studios need to figure out their differences and get back to writing, but we’ve got a…

Filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg will direct at least one episode of “Stranger Things” upcoming fifth and final season. Trachtenberg’s credits include the films “10 Cloverfield Lane” and the “Predator” reboot, “Prey.” He also helmed as the pilot for “The Boys” and the “Black Mirror” episode, “Playtest.” So we think it’s safe to say nostalgia-drenched 80s aesthetics and pop culture references are well within his wheelhouse. This news comes hot on the heels of the streamer announcing Linda Hamilton (“Terminator”) would be joining the cast. Hamilton is just the latest 80s icon to join the show alongside Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, Sean…

With more and more major studios pulling away from San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this year, it’s leaving the event with a lot of empty real estate. We’re talking big players like Marvel Studios, HBO, Netflix, and more pulling out entirely. But pop culture retailer Funko is seeing the silver lining. The company has announced Funkoville will be back, at double the size of last year. With the hope that the increased size will better accommodate its swarms of loyal fans. Funkoville will house several branches of the company like Funko Games, Loungefly, and their poster company Mondo. One of the…

In 2022, Huy Fong Foods made the horrifying announcement of a shortage of their Sriracha, Chili Garlic, and Sambal Oelek sauces. Now into its second year, foodies are going to extreme lengths to get their hands on that red rooster. Including paying $30+ on eBay and stealing it from restaurants.  This shortage came from a mixture of factors, but mostly adverse weather conditions and a weak chili pepper crop. “Unfortunately, we can confirm that there is an unprecedented shortage of our products,” a Huy Fong spokesperson said in a statement last year to Food & Wine. “We are still endeavoring…

Earlier this week, photojournalist John Schreiber shared a video of a rather unusual pink house in Malibu, California. The home, surrounded by picturesque landscape, stood out so much that Schreiber spotted it from 10 miles away! From the aerial shots he obtained, we can clearly see a water slide and balloons spelling out “Ken” floating in the pool. Given the house’s features (and the current avalanche of promotion for the upcoming “Barbie” movie), people quickly assumed it had something to do with the Greta Gerwig-directed film, whether it be a publicity stunt or the actual film’s shooting location. Because it…

Rumors of a reboot or revisit of Fox comedy series “Malcolm in the Middle” have been around for years. The sitcom followed tween Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) as he tries to survive school after being placed in the ostracized gifted program. All while dealing with his rowdy three brothers and dysfunctional parents Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek). But unlike most theorized revival projects, fires keeping this speculation alive primarily come from the cast themselves.  Cranston was recently asked by fans about a “Malcolm in the Middle” revival. “Yes, I would say that on a scale of 1-10, I’d say…
