Happy National Chicken Wing Day! And what’s a better way to celebrate than by trying to make a fake product real? Cereal maker Post wants to turn its signature cereal, Honey Bunches of Oats, into chicken seasoning.
Does cereal really belong on chicken? According to the company, yes, poultry is apparently the cereal’s 2nd best friend behind milk.
“Over the years, we’ve seen the posts,” Post wrote in a statement. “We’ve read the recipes. We know Honey Bunches of Oats has been living a double life as a top-secret chicken seasoning.”
In honor of the holiday, they posted an image online of Honey Bunches of Oats chicken seasoning blend. They are also asking fans who want to see this become real to make some noise on the post. Teasing that this could become real if demand is high enough.
The seasoning will have all the “Honey Bunches of Oats flavor you crave, plus a savory twist. Think golden flakes, rich honey, toasty granola, warm brown sugar, and a crave-worthy blend of herbs and spices that make wings sing.”
