Swedish retail giant H&M has pulled its Justin Bieber merchandise after the singer slammed them on Instagram. The pop star posted two since deleted notes to his Instagram story. He claimed he didn’t approve any of the merch collection “that they put up at H&M.” Bieber contends the entire collection was done without his approval or permission. “SMH I wouldn’t buy it if I were you,” he posted. Two fans of actress Ana de Armas filed a lawsuit in January after renting the 2019 film “Yesterday.” The plaintiffs, Conor Woulfe and Peter Michael Rosza, filed the suit after they rented the film for $3.99 on Amazon Prime. Their issue is, while de Armas is featured in the trailer, she does not appear in the film. Jen and Sylvia Soska are working on adapting their 2012 cult hit “American Mary” into a television series. In the film, Mary Mason (Katharine Isabelle), is a medical student strapped for cash. So she ends up auditioning at a local strip club. But instead of dancing, she ends up using her surgical skills to patch up an injured man brought in by the club owner’s associates. Paramount is finally releasing a 4K remaster of Matthew Robbins’ dark fantasy film “Dragonslayer.” Initially released in 1981, the film tells the story young wizarding apprentice (Peter MacNicol) who is sent to kill a dragon that has been devouring girls from a nearby kingdom. It was a massive cult hit, that hasn’t seen a physical media release since DVD. HBO has finally set a 2023 release date for Mindy Kaling’s animated series “Velma,” a spin-off of the long running “Scooby-Doo” series. While the original “Scooby-Doo” series is family and kid-friendly, Kaling’s version will be more adult-oriented. Disney’s upcoming live-action version of “The Little Mermaid,” has garnered some strong opinions from movie goers. The original 1989 animated film is based on a classic Hans Christian Andersen tale. AfterShock Comics LLC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with the District of Central California. The paperwork lists their assets and liabilities between $10 million and $50 million, which means they owe as much as they are currently worth. Rive Gauche Television, parent company to AfterShock’s film and television development branch, has also filed for bankruptcy protection.
