It’s no secret that the DC Cinematic Extended Universe (DCEU) has had a lot of shakeups over the past few years. During a New York Comic Con (NYCC) panel Jason Blum confirmed that Blumhouse’s merger with James Wan’s Atomic Monster is “very close” to closing. “It’s not quite done yet,” he said during the Universal Pictures’ “BlumFest” session. “It’s very close.” About a year ago it was announced that the two production entities were looking to join forces. This year’s Fat Bear Week has been full of twists and turns, but online voters have crowned 128 “Grazer” as the champion! This is a first-time win for the mother and salmon connoisseur, defeating 32 “Chunk” by more than 85,000 votes. She is also the 3rd female bear (sow) to claim the Fat Bear throne. Filmmaker Eugene Ashe (“Sylvie’s Love”) has officially joined Disney+’s reboot of “The Rocketeer.” David Oyelowo (“Silo”) is attached to star in/produce the project as a part of a two-year first-look deal with Disney. “The Rocketeer” is based on the comic book character of the same name created by the late artist/writer Dave Stevens. The character first appeared in 1982, as a back-up story in “Starslayer.” He eventually gained solo comics, where he perpetually saves his Betty Page-ish girlfriend from villains while uncovering sinister plots. During NYCC, AMC Networks teased the upcoming second season of its “Interview with the Vampire” series. The sneak peek shows Théâtre des Vampires and the vampire coven of Armand. Of course just as they are preparing to devour dinner, in typical bloodsoaked fashion. It has been 25 years since comedy series “Seinfeld” went off the air, in a finale that disappointed many fans and critics alike. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is teasing a possible reunion that may give viewers some closure.  The comedian dropped this information while fielding questions during a performance at the Wang Theatre in Boston. After seven years of work, NASA scientists have brought a sample from asteroid Bennu back to Earth. This sample could serve as a time capsule from the early days of our solar system. The rocks and dust brought back not only contain water but are nearly 5% carbon by weight.
