Director Rob Reiner has given an update on the long-awaited sequel to the 1984 mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap.” “Spinal Tap II” should escape its pod in the spring or summer of 2025. Alongside Fede Alvarez’s upcoming film “Alien: Romulus,” there will also be a new series from FX based on the beloved franchise. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the long-gestating sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 film “Beetlejuice,” has just gotten a PG-13 rating. This is odd considering that the original film was only rated PG by the MPA. The movie was slapped with a PG-13 for “violent content, macabre and bloody images, strong language, some suggestive material and brief drug use.” The thing is, “Beetlejuice,” has most of these things in it but got a more accessible rating.  Considering the film is about a deceased couple hiring a malicious spirit to drive out the family that bought their home. “There’s always money in the banana stand,” George Bluth In 2000, the band Ween released the song “Bananas And Blow.” On July 16th, the prophecy was fulfilled when sniffer dogs in Ecuador found 6.23 tonnes (6.87 tons) of cocaine hidden in a banana shipment. According to police, they seized 5,630 parcels individually wrapped with tape, filled with a white powder that tested positive for cocaine. In 1971, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” hit theaters based on the beloved children’s book by Roald Dahl. It was a huge hit, and became a pop culture touchstone for generations of children. It’s only July, but we may already have our horror hit of the summer with Oz Perkins’ “Longlegs.” The film opened this weekend raking in $22.6 million at the box office.
