Sony has officially put a new, currently untitled, “Spider-Man” movie on its summer 2026 release calendar. Tom Holland WILL be returning as everyone’s favorite web-slinger. There has been yet another disturbance in the force. Screenwriter Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders”) has exited the upcoming “Star Wars” movie starring Daisy Ridley. The new film is expected to follow Rey (Ridley) after the events shown in 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Knight signed on to the project in March 2023, replacing the original screenwriters Damon Lindelof (“The Hunt”) and Justin Britt-Gibson (“The Strain”). Audiences can’t get enough of the puppy-avenging mercenary John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves. While the book series is still going strong with loads of spin-offs, the franchise has been pushing more into movies and television. We have another casting update about Oscar-winner Christopher Nolan’s (“Oppenheimer”) upcoming untitled film. Tom Holland (“Spider-Man”) will be starring alongside the previously announced Matt Damon (“Drive-Away Dolls”). At this time very little is known about the film. But we do know it will be written and directed by Nolan. Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Michael Jeffries has been arrested with two other unnamed men. They were arrested on sex trafficking and interstate prostitution charges, according to a spokesperson for federal prosecutors. Jeffries left the company in 2014 after working for the clothing retailer for 22 years.  Specific details about the criminal charges are not being shared at this time. Jeffries’ lawyer, Brian Bieber says he will “respond in detail to the allegations after the indictment is unsealed, and when appropriate, but plan to do so in the courthouse — not the media.” These charges came after years of sexual…

Production company Alcon Entertainment is suing the Elon Musk-owned Tesla and Warner Bros. Discovery over copyright infringement and false endorsement. The company claims images from “Blade Runner 2049,” which it produced, were fed to AI to create unlicensed promotional materials for the company. The lawsuit was filed on October 21st with the California federal court. It accuses Tesla and Musk himself of misappropriating “Blade Runner 2049”’s brand to promote its upcoming robotaxi. While some would say no publicity is bad publicity, Alcon doesn’t want its film to be affiliated with Musk. Mostly due to his “extreme political and social views,”…
