After seven years of work, NASA scientists have brought a sample from asteroid Bennu back to Earth. This sample could serve as a time capsule from the early days of our solar system. The rocks and dust brought back not only contain water but are nearly 5% carbon by weight. On September 14th, the trailer for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” released. On that same day, documents from the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation trial made their way to Reddit. These documents do contain some pretty private information- notes from Heard’s therapist- which were used during the trial. Director Michael Mann has confirmed that his next film will be “Heat 2,” a concept he novelized earlier this year. The new movie will be a follow-up to his 1995 hit “Heat” starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Val Kilmer. DreamWorks Animation has cut 4% of its staff, eliminating 70 jobs. It seems the reasons are due to a downward cyclical turn in the business, production costs being on the rise, as well as placing some of the blame on labor strikes. “DreamWorks Animation reduced its workforce by approximately 70 positions,” a DreamWorks Animation spokesperson said. “Roles affected were across corporate functions, feature, television and technology departments as part of an overall cost-reduction.”This comes after the company announced the decision to move away from in-house production, housed in Burbank, CA.
