The rumor mill is working overtime about HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” reboot series. One thing we can confirm is Jared Harris (“Mad Men”), son of late actor Richard Harris, will NOT  be taking on the role of Dumbledore.  In a recent interview with The Independent, Jared revealed that he had been approached for the role. After much back and forth, Sony’s upcoming “I Know What You Did Last Summer” sequel will have one of the franchise’s key stars returning. Folk heroes truly do live on forever. Amazon-owned MGM+ has just greenlit a new drama series based on the classic Robin Hood legend. The 10-part series is being developed and written by Jonathan English (“Librarians: The Next Chapter”) and showrunner John Glenn (“SEAL Team”), for Lionsgate Television. This time around, with showrunner Terry Matalas (“Star Trek: Picard”) on board. Since the 1980s, home video equipment has become progressively more high quality and accessible with each passing year. But it seems Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle has completely abandoned traditional camera rigs for his upcoming film, “28 Years Later.” It is the third installment of his horror franchise that kicked off with 2002 “28 Days Later,” followed by 2007 “28 Weeks Later.” The movie was shot over the summer with several adapted iPhone 15s. The alternative rock band Sublime has had a biopic in the works for a while now and the production just found one of its key stars. KJ Apa (“Riverdale”) has been cast to play the band’s late lead singer, Bradley Nowell. This film will be directed and co-written by Justin Chon (“Blue Bayou”) with Bobby Hundreds. Their screenplay is based on an original draft by Chris Mundy (“Ozark”). The Sony-owned, 3000 Pictures is developing the project.
