For International Friendship Day, Warner Bros. Discovery has launched Friends Fan Week in celebration of the popular sitcom “Friends.” This celebration will run from July 25th until July 30th, 2022, and will consist of several digital and physical events. Why did the chicken cross the road? Well to get from Hinesburg, Vermont to downtown Burlington, of course! A Hinesburg family briefly lost their chicken, Amelia, when she unknowingly hitched a ride with them into town. Owner Rebecca Thibeault and her family believe Amelia climbed into a tiny compartment in the undercarriage of their Ford truck. She somehow stayed in there for the13-mile ride, sometimes going as fast as 65 mph along Interstate 89.  Once the family arrived she apparently hopped off and made her way to the bustling Church Street Marketplace. Emmy-nominated actress Quinta Brunson is playing Oprah Winfrey in Roku’s upcoming movie “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” She will be working alongside Daniel Radcliffe (“Swiss Army Man”), who plays the always outrageous Weird Al Yankovic. Oakland, California resident Kirsten Seymour has had 12 Blythe dolls, worth roughly $20,000, stolen from her home. Blythe dolls were put on the market in the U.S. in 1972 to compete with Mattel’s Barbie, except these dolls were inspired by the cartoon character Betty Boop and Margaret Keane’s “Big Eyes” paintings. The results give the dolls distinctive disproportionately large heads and huge glassy eyes. These features, while endearing to some, were deemed too disturbing for children and they were discontinued a year later. Adult animated series “South Park” is turning 25 years old. In celebration, co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will be putting on a concert featuring performances by Primus and Ween. The concert itself is peppered with several in-jokes and references to the show’s own history. It’s being held in Colorado because Parker and Stone first met at the University of Colorado Boulder. Today marks 53 years since NASA’s Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin is auctioning off some historical artifacts from his stellar career. This sale will include a jacket he wore on the Apollo 11 mission, where Aldrin became the second man to walk on the Moon. It has a serial number of 1039, the NASA logo, and his name E. Aldrin, printed above the mission patch. The coat is made from a (at the time) newly developed fireproof material known as Beta Cloth. “Stranger Things” star Maya Hawke released an X-rated music video for her newest song, “Thérèse.” The tune will be on her second album “Moss,” which comes out on September 23rd. Brady Corbet, who also directed “Vox Lux,” and played Peter in the 2007 remake of “Funny Games,” directed the video.  The 5-minute video for “Thérèse” opens with a card saying it is “Rated X.” The majority of it focuses on Hawke and her friends having an orgy in the woods.
