Since 1972, ASIFA-Hollywood (International Animated Film Association)’s Annie Awards have honored excellence in animation. The organization just announced their 2026 nominees, and Netflix’s “KPop Demon Hunters” nabbed an impressive 13 nominations, with Pixar’s “Elio” garnering 10.  The Annie Awards are also a strong predictor of which way the Oscar’s Best Animated Feature category will go. Filmmaker Mike Flanagan continues his unofficial quest to adapt as many Stephen King novels as possible. This time he has his sights set on a “Dark Tower” series, based on works that King published between 1982 and 2012. “It’s moving,” Flanagan told Empire Magazine. “We’ve got a lot of scripts done for it. Amazon MGM Studios currently holds the rights to the legendary James Bond films. Now, despite the company having its own streaming service with Prime Video and MGM+, all 25 of the classic films will be coming to rival Netflix. The competing streamers have signed a deal to allow Netflix the rights to stream the titles for a brief period of time. (Rumored to be 3 months, but nothing is official.) London’s Natural History Museum will be hosting a rather unique event centered around Pokémon. The museum will be hosting the first-ever UK museum pop-up shop centered around the popular card game franchise. 2026 actually marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. The Natural History Museum will be transforming its Cranbourne Boutique for this pop-up shop experience.
