Last month, Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”) joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated musical “Bad Fairies.” It’s been confirmed that Erivo will be co-starring with Ncuti Gatwa (“Doctor Who,” “Sex Education”)! The feature is directed by Megan Nicole Dong (“Centaur World”) and Olivier Staphylas from a script by Deborah Frances-White (“Say My Name”). It will follow a group of, you guessed it, misbehaving fairies shaking up the world of magic. About a year ago, there were rumblings about some huge news coming to the Roger Rabbit universe. It has now been confirmed that the character’s creator, Gary K. Wolf, has regained his copyright! A herculean task considering how notorious Disney is for not wanting to relinquish rights to characters. “I now have back the rights to all my characters, all my books,” Wolf told ImNotBad.com. “I can, basically, do my own Roger Rabbit projects.” He was able to regain the rights via the 35-Year Copyright Reversion Clause. On November 6th, the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, “Michael,” was released. Much like the king of pop, this teaser immediately started smashing records. In its first 24 hours online, it racked up 116.2 million views worldwide. Making it the most viewed trailer for any music biopic or concert movie in history. Beating out the former title holder, “Taylor Swift: Eras Tour,” which pulled in 96.1 million views in 24 hours. Fernández is currently competing for the Miss World title, and stunned judges by performing an original song from her death metal band Decessus. Hollywood has been littered with remakes of popular IPs for decades now, some successful, some not so much. “Running Man” star Arnold Schwarzenegger recently spoke with Edgar Wright about his upcoming remake of the dystopian action film. We have some GREAT news! After almost 50 years of playing second banana to a frog, The Muppets’ own Miss Piggy is getting a movie. Tony winner Cole Escola (“Oh, Mary!”) will be penning the script, with Jennifer Lawrence (“Die My Love”) and Emma Stone (“Bugonia”) producing.  This will be Miss Piggy’s first solo project. Artists having their work stolen to train AI is one of the biggest arguments against the emerging technology. And bigger companies are starting to fight back against this. Like Dreamworks putting a notice in the credits of “The Bad Guys 2” saying it couldn’t be used to train AI.
