Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies.

Thrilling heists and robberies are no stranger to the world of entertainment. If they were, we wouldn’t have the “Ocean’s Eleven” film, remake, and eventual franchise. They make for gripping narratives and often a desire to root for the antihero or villain. At least, we can do that in the realm of fiction, in real life these things rarely happen. In the case of the Disney Springs Paddlefish restaurant, fiction became a bit too true to life, and they’re not rooting for the villain this time around either. The Paddlefish is a unique restaurant in that it’s designed to be…

Oh, Fyre Fest. Despite the fact that it never turned out happening it has been the gift that has kept on giving. Normally, we don’t take pleasure in the pain of others, but a bit of schadenfreude is acceptable when we’re talking about convicted felon Billy McFarland, the mind behind Fyre Fest. He swore it would actually happen the second time around, and shockingly, it didn’t. But it will all be worth, because Taika Waititi is currently working on “Fyre Fest: The Musical.” The original Fyre Fest was a joke unto itself. People traveled to an island for the promise…

Warner Bros. has echoed that sentiment in their own statement. “Midjourney is blatantly and purposefully infringing copyrighted works,…

You may not even realize it, but one of the longest running shows in television history is the home repair program “This Old House.” It started airing in 1979 and was originally hosted by Bob Vila with assistance from master carpenter, Norm Abram. When it comes to experimental alternative rock, there are very few bands that have the critical and commercial clout as Radiohead. The English rockers have routinely pushed the boundaries of modern rock since the release of their debut album, “Pablo Honey” in 1993. When we heard that Warner Bros. wanted to double down on some of their existing intellectual property, we were prepared for things from the DC universe or “Harry Potter.” We weren’t actually expecting that a sequel to “The Goonies” would actually be in the works. Sure, there were rumors, but would they actually go through with it? Apparently, they would. Potsy Ponciroli is handling the script, and apparently, it’s almost done. It’s not like the original “Goonies” needed a sequel. One could say the original was “Good Enough.” (A Cyndi Lauper joke.) But the misadventures of Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, and…

There are very few franchises that are as beloved as “Back to the Future.” The trilogy of films from Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale stand as one of the most endearing set of films to ever be released and more so, not milked for nostalgia. Zemeckis and Gale have remained firm on not rebooting or reinventing the franchise. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t new ways to enjoy it though. On the year of the original film’s 40th anniversary, Universal is rolling out some stuff for fans, including a new media boxset, and a theatrical re-release. The adventures of Marty…
