Nintendo fired off it’s first Direct of the year on Wednesday, February 9th. In case you missed it or don’t have time to watch it, we’ve got you covered with a round-up of all the big announcements and little hitters. Let’s cut the intro short and dive right in. The first, and arguably biggest announcement was “Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.” Depending on your gaming taste though, and how much of a Nintendo fan you are, this might be the highlight of the Direct for you. To be honest, unless you’re a hardcore JRPG fan, this is where the excitement…

The question regarding “Grand Theft Auto VI” was not if it was going to be announced, but when. Considering that “Grand Theft Auto V” is the second biggest selling game of all time behind “Minecraft,” why WOULDN’T Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take Two Interactive try to follow it up? Would anyone expect Nintendo to stop making Pokémon games? Of course not. So let’s talk about this without focusing so much on the fact that GTA VI is coming and instead looking at why it has taken so long and what to possibly expect. “Grand Theft Auto V” released…
Well, we’ve done it. We’ve angered the Gods like never before. Sure, we can attribute things to the flow of electrons and a discharge of electrical energy, but it’s much easier to say we angered Zeus, and he let us know about it. How did he send us the message? By delivering the longest lightning bolt in history as officially confirmed by the World Meteorological Organization. Though only confirmed a few days ago, the lightning strike in question happened back on April 29th, 2020. The bolt went all the way from the central coast of Texas to southern Mississippi, in…
The more things change, the more they stay the same. In a quest to try to hang on to relevancy in the shifting television landscape, The CW is continuing to cling to the vestiges of days gone by to keep their viewership. If that sounds a bit cynical, maybe it is, but at the same time, no one can look at The CW line-up and accuse them of originality. In the latest announcement to their potential broadcast schedule, the network has announced three new pilots, all linked to existing or former programming. The first of the three programs is a…
When you work as an entertainment writer, you end up covering a lot of casting choice news. Some entirely fitting, some bizarre. We have to tell you though, this one is about as unexpected as it gets, but possibly in the best possible way. Yesterday, it was announced that legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg has cast the also legendary filmmaker (in an entirely different way) David Lynch as an actor in his upcoming autobiographical feature “The Fabelmans.” Spielberg likely needs no introduction to anyone reading this. But maybe David Lynch does, especially if he’s being cast in a Spielberg movie. If…
As immensely popular and ubiquitous as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is, at least there are a lot of different heroes to follow. As much as Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. were the biggest figures in the franchise as a whole, the character’s place in popular culture has arguably not been overused. No one really talks heavily about the Iron Man comic series, there’s no television series that focuses on the hero either. There was an animated cartoon from back in 1994 and a young Tony Stark version in 2008. Aside from “Iron Man VR” in 2020, we haven’t even…
It’s very hard to stay neutral when dealing with the rampant stupidity, bias, ignorance, and manufactured controversies being spat out by Fox News. There’s no shortage of things to point out about how perverse their agenda is when it comes to them wanting to try and show that liberals are somehow ruining the country. Meanwhile, pundits like Tucker Carlson sow seeds of hatred and dissent, defending insurrectionists and casting doubt on the scientific community in the middle of a pandemic. Fox News is accusing Minnie Mouse of ripping the societal fabric. It wasn’t more than a few days before this…
Neil Young is a legend in the world of folk, rock, and music in general. In the world of Spotify however, it would appear that Joe Rogan outranks the “Godfather of Grunge.” Following an ultimatum from Young earlier this week, the streaming music and podcast giant has decided to delist his music rather than follow Young’s request to address the vaccine misinformation being spewed by the podcast host. On Monday January 24th, Young wrote a letter to his manager and an executive at Warner Music, insisting that his music be pulled from Spotify due to Rogan’s podcast, “The Joe Rogan…
